Blog EntryInvitation to join UPLSAA Official Mailing listJun 25, '08 10:52 PM
for everyone

Dear Fellow Alumni,

This is to inform you that the UP Library Science Alumni Association (UPLSAA) has decided to create a permanent official mailing list for all alumni of the UP School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS). This is in line with the plan of the UP Alumni Association (UPAA) to create a consortium of all UPAA chapters’ official mailing lists. Some of you may not be aware that there are a number of UPLSAA-related mailing lists that were created by the previous UPLSAA board/officers. So we believe that it is time to have just one official mailing list for UPLSAA.

In this light, may we invite you to support this project by joining our mailing list. If you have a Yahoo e-mail account, you may go directly to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/uplsaa-mailinglist/ to join. Or you may send your name and e-mail address to uplsaa@yahoo.com so we could send you an invite. We are also seeking your support by posting this information to other library-related mailing lists that you are part of or forwarding this to fellow alumni you are in contact with.

Our aim here is to consolidate all of our alumni in one, official mailing list to facilitate better communication among our members. Let us use this venue solely to post and share UPSLIS and UPLSAA news, updates, and other library/professional related information and concerns. Thus, let us refrain from posting unrelated forwarded/spam messages.

We look forward to your continued support to UPSLIS and UPLSAA.

Sincerely,

UPLSAA Board 2008-09
